addition to being Mommy to her 13-year-old son, Penny loves
freelance writing, yoga -- both as a student and teacher, working as
editor-in-chief of Pear Magazine Online, exploring raw-vegan food,
and being a
Mila advocate and distributor.
In July 2008, Penny was featured on a "Yoga For Kids" segment
of "The Morning Show" on a Jacksonville,
Florida television station where she was thrilled to explain some of
the many benefits of yoga.
Penny's passion for humanity and writing led her to obtain a
master's degree in humanities with a focus in journalism and a
graduate certificate in professional writing in 1995. She has
written for a variety of newspapers, magazines, and websites.
Penny says writing, editing, and yoga nourish her like food, but when
literally consuming food, she prefers a mostly raw-vegan diet.
In June 2008, Penny attended the 10-day Healthy Lifestyle Course at
the well-known Living Foods Institute in Atlanta, Georgia.
